【英語で表現】目の中に入れても痛くない～
アルコムのお友達が、日記で お孫さんが可愛くてしかたないと書いていらっしゃいました。本当にそうでしょうね♪
孫に会ってきました。
で、ふと思いました。英語でなんか良い言い回しがあるのでしょうか～
あった、あった、ありました～ The apple of one's eye♪ inでなくてof、そしてeyeはやっぱり単数形ですね～

リンゴの季節がやって来ましたね☆スーパーマーケットでリンゴを
見ていたら、思い出したのが本日の英語表現the apple of one's eyeです。
直訳すると、「目の中のリンゴ」（！）ですが、英語では慣用表現として、
「（目の中に入れても痛くないぐらい）とっても愛おしい人・存在」を意味します。
Your Dictionary.comで英語の解説を調べたところ、
Special favorite, beloved person or thing
例）The youngest was the apple of his father's eye.
（一番下の男の子は、父親にとって目の中に入れても痛くないくらい、かわいい）
と紹介していました。
どれだけ一般的な言い回しなのか念のために調べてみましたが、googleでもけっこう出てきますね。 ちなみに下の写真はamazonからですが、こんなオルゴールもしょうひんとしてあります～
